Starting off as a naval officer, he was able to pass the National exams in Taiwan and was awarded a prestigious National Science Foundation scholarship to come study in the United States where he received a Ph.D. in Optics at the University of Rochester, where he advanced groundbreaking research in communications lasers. A proud father of two daughters and grandfather to five, Dr. Chao brings his lifelong passion for exploration to his latest endeavor: a revolutionary horoscope app combining Western sun signs with the Chinese zodiac. His unique journey from the cutting edge of science to the wisdom of the stars inspires this innovative project.
Cassindy Chao - Asian Matchmaker & Founder
Cassindy Chao is a professional Asian matchmaker with 35 years of experience connecting accomplished singles with meaningful relationships — and matchmaking runs in her family. As the oldest daughter of Dr. Shui Lin Chao, she grew up watching her father approach every challenge with the same qualities that define great matchmaking: dedication, optimism, and genuine joy in bringing people together.
A Wellesley alumna and former Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Securities investment banker, Cassindy founded AWM Love — a premium Asian matchmaking service for accomplished professionals and UHNW individuals in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. She brings the same analytical rigor she applied on Wall Street to the deeply human art of finding the right match.
